James Rodger (Information Systems and Decision Sciences) teamed with co-author James George to produce a second book in one year, part of a series of books by Archway Publishing addressing how to improve the American political system and economy with application of process improvement and analytic disciplines.
The new book is Regenerating America with Sustainable Economics, the follow-up to the first book in the series, How to Select an American President.
“We’re not political scientists, nor are we economists. We are citizens who are equipped with business tools and knowledge that we feel can improve the system,” said Professor Rodger. “Sustainable economics is not a fad. It is a strategic goal for the human survival in a peaceful environment.”
The book explains that without a sustainable economy, national security is impossible and governments cannot satisfy constituent needs.
The authors acknowledge support that they have had from IUP students and the university.
The new book has received endorsement from John Ikerd, distinguished professor emeritus, Agricultural and Applied Economics, University of Missouri–Columbia, College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources.
