Footlight Players Youth Theater Presents Four Plays July 14–16

Indiana’s youth theater program at IUP, Footlight Players, presents a festival of two plays and two musicals July 14 through July 16. Performances are at Waller Hall in the Performing Arts Center on IUP’s Oak Grove along Oakland Avenue.

Fiddler on the Roof Jr. and Secret Wonders of the World will be performed consecutively on July 14 at 7:00 p.m. and on July 15 at 1:00 p.m.

Disney’s Aladdin Jr. and The Birds will be performed on July 15 at 7:00 p.m. and July 16 at 1:00 p.m.

“It’s an entertaining summer event for the whole family,” said Brian Jones, founding executive director. “Sixty young and creative players from around the county spent the past three weeks preparing these shows and they are just amazing!”

Purchase tickets at the Footlight Players website or at the door. Adult tickets are $10 and student and children tickets are $5.

Footlight Players is an organization of professional artists providing intensive and nurturing arts experiences for children and teens. It receives support from the Pennsylvania Partners in the Arts (PPA), the regional arts funding partnership of the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency.
