Are you taking, or teaching a class this summer? Tutors are available to help IUP students with their writing assignments. Students can meet their tutor face-to-face in 218 Eicher Hall (walk-in), or live online (by appointment).
Undergraduate and graduate tutors in IUP’s Kathleen Jones White Writing Center hail from various majors, but all are trained to help writers at all stages of the process, from creating an outline to editing and proofreading.
Students taking distance education classes can make an appointment 24 hours in advance and meet their tutor online. On campus, students can walk in and meet with a tutor, or work quietly on one of the center’s 46 computers. Printers and scanners are also available.
Instructors can encourage students to use the writing center by including a brief description in their syllabi, available under the Resources for Faculty tab on the center’s home page, or by contacting the center.
For more information, contact Ben Rafoth (director) or Melissa Lutz (secretary).
