The Frederick Douglass Institute kicks off the 2017 Issues of Diversity season by offering three research panels as part of IUP’s Six O’Clock Series. The Issues of Diversity session will be featured on March 6, 6-7:30 p.m. in the Ohio Room of the HUB.
Panels will focus on “The Power of Socially Engaged Art;” “Worldviews, Speech & Media;” and “Enabling Abilities.” Student and faculty researchers come from the departments of Criminology, Dance and Theater, English, Philosophy, Political Science, Religious Studies and Sociology. Presentation abstracts can be viewed here.
The goal of Issues of Diversity is to provide an informal and supportive setting for participants to present and receive feedback on their scholarly and academic interests related to diversity, social equity, and inclusion. Come, join the conversation!
