The IUP Community Music School will present three concerts to close the fall 2016 semester during a very busy upcoming December 10–11 weekend.
First, the Crimson Youth Choir will perform at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, in DiCicco Hall (Room 121), Cogswell Hall. Under the direction of Amber Leitsch and accompanied by Even Engelstad, the program follows the theme “On with the Snow” and features several seasonal favorites. The choir will also be joined in a special number by the collegiate a capella ensemble Crimson Chords.
Tickets for this concert will be available at the door for $3 general admission, with 12 and under free.
The Indiana Concert Band, a combined ensemble with the collegiate IUP Concert Band, will also perform on Saturday, December 10, but at 8:00 p.m. in Fisher Auditorium. Under the direction of Jason Worzbyt, it is part of the IUP Bands Holiday Concert and will be the third concert of a very busy semester for the group.

The third ensemble of the IUP Community Music School, the Indiana Community Choir, will perform at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 11, in DiCicco Hall (Room 121), Cogswell Hall. Under the direction of artistic director Jon Erik Schreiber and accompanied by Acey Gongaware, the choir will present a program titled “Gloria.” At the centerpiece of the program is Antonio Vivaldi’s very popular work, Gloria, as well as settings of seasonal favorites with audience participation.
Tickets for the choir concert will be available at the door for $5 regular and $3 for seniors (60+), I-Card holders, students, and children.
