Due to an overwhelming response from employers, the IUP Spring Career Fair on Tuesday, February 16, 2016, has been moved to the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex. The fair will run from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Jan Shellenbarger, special events coordinator in the Career and Professional Development Center, said there are currently 85 companies and organizations attending the fair.
“It’s the largest spring career fair we've had at IUP,” Shellenbarger said. The fair provides an opportunity for students to explore part-time and full-time employment, as well as internship and seasonal opportunities in a variety of fields, including criminology, healthcare, summer employment, accounting, government, and public service.
Students from all majors and class levels are encouraged to attend, and business casual attire is appropriate.
“A strong student turnout would be a positive sign to employers that they should continue to increase their recruitment efforts at IUP,” Shellenbarger said.
