Over the weekend of October 24, 2015, the
Office of Housing, Residential Living, and Dining sent eight staff members to the Mid-Atlantic Association of College and University Housing Officers (MACUHO) Student Staff Live-In Conference (SSLI), a one-day event hosted by Rowan University in Glassboro, N.J.
The conference was designed to bring together student staff and colleagues from across the MACUHO region to learn, grow and build new skills. The theme, “Creating Space for Every Face,” was present throughout the different sessions being offered on programming, student leadership, and building inclusive communities. By
attending the conference, students were intended to learn more about their impact on resident development, being intentional with programming, developing leadership skills, and networking with other student affairs professionals.
