Dracula logoThe Lively Arts will once again offer shows this season at the lowest prices in the region for students and others who pay the student activity fees. I-Card prices for Ovations!, the area’s premier touring performing arts series, range from $12 to $20, saving a considerable amount off the regular prices, which range from $22 to $44. Up to four tickets may be purchased per I-Card.

With many other venues, ordering and parking fees can add 50 percent or more to the face value of the ticket. When ordering Lively Arts tickets online, however, there is a very low $2 per ticket handling charge. There is also a $5 per order charge for tickets to be mailed, which can be avoided if the patron chooses to pick up their tickets at the window the night of the show.

Ample parking, which is always free, is available in the Grant Street parking garage and lots in the vicinity of the IUP Performing Arts Center and other performance and exhibit venues on campus.

Here is a chart comparing prices you may pay for the face value of a ticket at other venues, including larger city venues you may find in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and even State College.

Other series available are those produced by departments within the College of Fine Arts. These series include the Department of Theater and Dance’s Theater-by-the-Grove and Dance Theater seasons and the Department of Music’s Music Theater and Sound Choices seasons. I-Card prices for these events range from $7 to $12, with regular prices ranging from $11 to $18.

Funding for these activities is provided by the Student Cooperative Association, various grants, business sponsors, and individuals who donate through the Lively Arts’ Premiere Club.
