The Career Development Center announces that it has changed its name to the Career and
Professional Development Center.
“Our
new name is a more accurate and comprehensive reflection of what we do in
serving and collaborating with our stakeholders,” said director Tammy Manko.
The Career and Professional
Development team also identified five core values they believe embody the
mission and vision of the center to ensure they are appropriately serving
their diverse stakeholders:
- Integrity
- Inspiration
- Collaboration
- Professionalism
- Sustainability
“Transitioning
the name of the office to the Career and Professional Development Center
more fully encompasses the important functions and services that this area
provides to students, alumni, prospective employers, and the university as a
whole,” Patricia McCarthy, associate vice president for Enrollment Management,
said.
“Since outcomes have been identified as one of the primary factors that
students consider when making higher education decisions, we will want to
continue to highlight and make all constituents aware of the extensive
portfolio of services and opportunities offered through the Career and
Professional Development Center,” said McCarthy.
