Indiana University of Pennsylvania alumna Regina Stover, of Pittsburgh, retired managing director from the Bank of New York Mellon, has been elected by the Foundation for Indiana University of Pennsylvania (FIUP) to its board. Her term will extend through June 30, 2017.
Stover replaces Frank Kinter, who served as an FIUP board director from July 2006 and has served as secretary/treasurer since July 2007. Kinter served on the Executive, Investment, and Finance committees and is a financial advisor with Upstreet Financial Advisors in Indiana, Pennsylvania.
“The Foundation will miss Frank, but is excited to have Regina back. Regina served two terms with the Foundation from July 2001 to June 2007, so she is very well versed in the Foundation’s missions and goals,” FIUP President Tim Rupert said. “Not only is Regina familiar with the Foundation, her career experience will be an asset to the Foundation as both a board member and a member of the Audit Committee.”
After graduating from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, Stover began her career at Mellon Bank. While working at BNY Mellon, Stover obtained her MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. She is a certified internal auditor, a certified bank auditor, and a certified fiduciary and investment risk specialist. Nationally recognized as an expert on fiduciary and investment management risk, Stover speaks frequently at industry conferences, seminars, and meetings.
Stover has been named a Distinguished Alumna of Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Along with her husband, Dennis, an IUP alumnus, she has established endowed scholarships at IUP, the University of Pittsburgh, Carlow University, and Our Lady of Grace School. They have also successfully funded a business speaker series at IUP.
The Foundation for Indiana University of Pennsylvania, an independent 501(c)3 corporation, promotes the educational purposes of Indiana University of Pennsylvania through financial support and other services. The Foundation also owns most of the on-campus housing at IUP.
