Eating disorders are a bigger problem than you may think. While a lot of people think that they are just a lifestyle choice, eating disorders are actually serious illnesses that affect a variety of people, including students in college.
From February 24-28, Health AWAREness will host Eating Disorders AWAREness week. All throughout this week, you can find post-it notes around campus that can educate you about eating disorders. Additionally, on Wednesday, February 26, you can come to our AWAREness table at the Stapleton Library between 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to learn more about eating disorders and campus resources.
Wednesday night (February 26), we will also host an Eating Disorder AWAREness program at Northern Suites. The program will start at 7:00 p.m. and is open to all of the campus community. Come to the program to learn about eating disorders and their impact on the college community.
This event is sponsored by Health AWAREness, a part of the Center for Health and Well-Being.
