Writing Center Workshop: MLA Documentation

Posted on 10/4/2012 8:54:23 PM

The Writing Center’s Wednesday Workshop series continues with “MLA Documentation” at 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on October 10, 2012, in 218 Eicher Hall.

MLA is commonly used in the humanities and is often required in college writing courses. This workshop will show you how to cite sources within the body of your paper and how to create a Works Cited page at the end.

All Wednesday Workshop programs are free and open to IUP students and last about an hour. Attendance vouchers will be provided at the conclusion of each workshop.

Following the October 10 program, the presentations in the series are as follows:

Revising Your Research Paper to Flow Smoothly

Wednesday, Oct. 17

Once students have gathered the sources, they still have to fit them in with their own ideas and get everything to flow together. This workshop helps them do that.

Using Prezi to Create Dynamic Presentations

Wednesday, Oct. 24

PowerPoint can be easy to use, but it gets boring quickly. Prezi is a dynamic, easy-to-use alternative. This workshop shows students how to impress an audience with an eye-catching presentation.
