Three Writing Center tutors were recognized with awards at the English Department Honors Ceremony on April 22, 2012.

Rachael Curtis and Megan Marshall, both junior English Education majors, received the T. Kenneth Wilson Junior Scholar award.

Jaclyn Rudisill, a senior English Education major, received the William Betts Senior Scholar award.

English Department faculty select award recipients on the basis of excellence inside and outside the classroom.

Rudisill also won first place in the Pedagogical Writing category for her unit plan webquest, “Digging Up the Dirt with Skeleton Creek.”

"We are proud to count these three students among the many Writing Center tutors who have won awards and been recognized for their outstanding scholastic achievements," said Professor Ben Rafoth, director of the Writing Center.
