Speech-Pathology and Audiology Faculty and Students Present at State Convention

IUP faculty and students from the speech-language pathology program attended and served in a variety of capacities at the Pennsylvania Speech-Language-Hearing Association’s (PSHA) annual convention in Lancaster, Pa.

Fifteen students attended, some volunteering to help with registration. The following faculty and students were involved in presentations or leadership roles:

  • Craig Coleman, M.A., BRS-FD; Sara MacIntyre, B.A.
    Presentation: “Stuttering Treatment: Targeting Goals that Make a Difference”
    Craig Coleman is PSHA president-elect
  • Hanna Gratzmiller, B.S. (current graduate student); Lori Lombard (faculty advisor)
    Poster presentation: “A Comparison of Laryngeal Diadochokinetic Tasks”
  • Lisa Hammett Price
    Presentation: “Interacting with Children: Clinical Skills for New SLP’s”
  • Cynthia McCormick Richburg
    Presentation: “(Central) Auditory Processing Disorders: From Identification to Management”
  • David Stein
    Presentation: “Don’t Let History Repeat: Anonymous Tales From the License Board”
    Served as the vice chair for a meeting of the Board of Examiners in Speech-Language and Hearing
  • Karen Goltz Stein: PSHA president
    Presided over the annual business meeting and awards luncheon. Continues to serve as past-president over the next year
