Cahalan to Discuss Appalachian Studies Conference on “Hometown Magazine” Radio Program, March 15

English professor Jim Cahalan will be a guest on Hometown Magazine, WCCS 1160 AM, on Thursday, March 15, 2012.

The program airs 9:00–10:00 a.m. and is hosted by Nick Ruffner '06.

Cahalan will discuss the Appalachian Studies Association annual national conference, to be hosted by IUP March 23–25.

Cahalan, program chair, and sociology professor Jim Dougherty, conference chair, are responsible for bringing the conference to a location north of the Mason Dixon Line for the first time in its 35-year history. More than 700 scholars are expected to attend, including approximately 100 IUP faculty, students, and alumni.
