Dr. Carolyn Princes, associate dean of students for multicultural affairs and director of the IUP African American Cultural Center, was presented with several awards at the twentieth annual national conference of the Association for Black Culture Centers in November 2010.

The awards were presented “in recognition of your committed dedication and relationship with culture centers across the nation,” and included the award for being one of the “100 Most Active Culture Centers of 2010,” an ABCC institutional member, and a former ABCC board member.

Dr. Princes also presented a paper at the conference, which she attended with two students and the office’s program assistant.
