This workshop will help aspiring entrepreneurs to begin the process of successful business ownership including evaluating business ideas, developing a business plan, and exploring financing options. Come join us for the February edition of the CAE Forum, where members of the National Centers of Academic Excellence community give non-technical presentations on topics of value to the CAE community.Title: Use of Free and Open Source Labs to Support Cybersecurity Education

Description: Operating and maintaining a virtual lab environment can be expensive and requires significant resources. Many organizations and individuals create and share free and open source labs and competitions. In this talk, Chris Simpson will discuss National University’s adoption and use of these free labs and competitions in their BS and MS Cybersecurity classes. He will also discuss how they map these labs to meet CAE Knowledge Units and the NICE Framework KSA’s. The talk will include a hands-on demo of some free environments.

Concurrent exhibitions, Hard Hatted Women is a multimedia exhibit featuring women who were trailblazers in the labor unions of the Pittsburgh region during the 1970s and 1980s, while Women in Action features artworks from the University Museum Permanent Collection.

This exhibit runs from February 9 through March 9.

University Museum Hours: 2:00–6:00 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday; noon-7:30 p.m. Thursday; noon–4:00 p.m. Saturday. Closed Sunday and Monday.
