The IUP Department of Music congratulates alumni Sarah Hetrick and Wilson Poffenberger on their new university positions.
Sarah Hetrick was recently appointed as assistant professor of saxophone at the University of Arkansas. Hetrick graduated with a bachelor of science in music education from IUP before earning her MM and DMA at the University of Texas.
Wilson Poffenberger is now lecturer of saxophone at Valdosta State University in Georgia. Poffenberger earned a bachelor of science in music education at IUP and an MM from Youngstown State University. He is currently ABD at University of Illinois Urbana–Champaign.
