On Saturday, May 16, at 10:30 a.m., the IUP String Project featured solo and ensemble performances by community string students for the annual Spring Student Recital. Although not able to meet in person for the annual Spring Student Recital, students and teachers worked to create audio and video recordings that were presented in an online recital for String Project families and students.

Due to the coronavirus, String Project students and teachers made the switch to online lessons at the end of March. The String Project teachers, IUP music majors, and Music Department alumni rose to the challenge of developing teaching skills in an online format as well as developing technology skills to help students create recordings to highlight their work over the semester.

Congratulations to the String Project students for their hard work and beautiful recital recordings. Congratulations to the IUP music students who grew as teachers to support these young musicians in their musical development.

The IUP String Project is led by Linda Jennings. For more information on the String Project, go to the IUP String Project.
