Linda Jennings, professor of cello in the Department of Music, was invited to present an online cello class as part of a pilot project of the Chiang Rai Youth Orchestra (CYO), one of the leading youth orchestra programs in Thailand.
In the CYO Oversea Online Class Project, CYO Director Paramet Lerdkasem has invited international teachers to provide online classes for violin, viola, and cello students in Chiang Rai and nearby provinces in northern Thailand.
Jennings was the first international teacher to provide virtual instruction for this project on May 26, 2020. During the virtual master class, Jennings worked with six cello students on the high school, college, and young professional levels. Jennings will continue to provide virtual master classes and cello instruction through this new project on a monthly basis.
