Master of Arts in Employment and Labor Relations

  • The Master of Arts in Employment and Labor Relations is a multidisciplinary, graduate-degree program designed to prepare professional practitioners in the field of employment and labor relations in public and private management, unions, government agencies, and neutral and service organizations.

    The 36-semester-hour program consists of a required core of 21 semester hours and elective course offerings totaling 15 semester hours.

    Program Features

    • Take courses evenings from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and online during the Spring, Summer, and Fall semesters.
    • Complete your program in two years (six semesters total).
    • Learn in small classes from doctoral-level IUP faculty members who have extensive teaching and professional experience.

    Submit the following items to IUP’s School of Graduate Studies and Research:

    • Application form: Apply online.
    • Two letters of recommendation
    • Signed and dated statement of career and academic goals
    • Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
    • $50 nonrefundable application fee.
