    BSEd in Mathematics Education

    • Expand your mastery of mathematics.
    • Develop the skills needed to earn teaching certification for mathematics in grades 7–12.
    • Take classes such as Calculus II and III, Linear Algebra, Probability and Statistics for Natural Sciences, Introduction to Mathematical Proofs, Principles of Secondary School Mathematics, History of Mathematics, Theory of Numbers, Foundations of Geometry, and Technology in Mathematics Instruction.
    • Fulfill your core curriculum requirement for the College of Education.
    • Your course of study culminates in student teaching, your first true experience as a math teacher.

    BSEd in Middle-Level Education (Grades 4-8): Mathematics Specialization

    • Run by the Department of Professional Studies in Education, this program prepares pre-service teachers to meet the demands of teaching all academic subjects in the middle grades of 4–8.
    • Specialize by gaining a strong foundation in mathematics with requirements that include Elements of Algebra, Probability and Statistics, Methods of Teaching Mathematics at the Middle Level, Patterns and Functions, Geometry, Logic and Logical Games, and Algebra.
    • Your course of study culminates in student teaching, your first true experience as a math teacher.
