Tobacco use disorders will be addressed in detail, with a special focus on evidenced-based approaches to treatment and recovery in co-occurring psychiatric and substance use disorders.

  1. Identify medications currently available for assisting in the treatment of substance use disorders.
  2. Discuss when these medications may be beneficial adjuncts to treatment.
  3. Demonstrate evidenced-based approaches for the treatment of frequently co-occurring psychiatric disorders.
