This panel will explore understandings and discuss how social class, gender, and race matter in the lives and futures of girls. Sociological and psychological perspectives that speak to girls' development, focus on messages girls receive about who they can become, and resources girls and families have in reaching their goals will be explored. The audience will be provided with tangible ways to incorporate social class, gender, and racial analyses or sensitivities in their programming.
