Professionals working with neglect and violence sometimes get hooked by their concerns for safety, and in doing so take over the parent's executive functioning. This inadvertently reinforces the power of professionals and can marginalize the family. This workshop will help participants develop a collaborative approach for cultivating a relational focus with families and other professionals.
