This presentation will cover statistics associated both with the epidemic of veteran suicide in our country as well as past unsuccessful prevention approaches. The four common stigmas attached to veteran suicide and how this can prevent individuals from seeking help will be discussed. Finally, three potential solutions will be described that have been identified as promising in decreasing veteran suicide.
