Intervention with victims of trauma has many features in common with best intervention practices. However, intervention with persons who have been traumatized may present unusual challenges to the practitioner. Professional supervisors must be attentive to the functioning of the practitioner in these key areas. What are the special areas that may require unusual supervisory focus? What techniques are optimal for assessing and intervening with supervisee needs in working with trauma victims?
