Over the past decade the Haven Project has gathered data to learn why college female students chose to seek help when they experience sexual violence. This presentation will discuss the findings and the ways that current accepted prevention efforts may reduce the likelihood of seeking help. We will also describe ways that prevention efforts using the Transtheoretical Model of Behavior Change can be adapted to improve help seeking behaviors.
