Hursh has about 10 years of industry experience and is a licensed professional engineer in Pennsylvania and Delaware. Before joining LDG, he was a design engineer working on PennDOT, Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, and Highway Occupancy Permit projects. He most recently worked for McCormick Taylor in Harrisburg as a Marcellus shale consultant to PennDOT to evaluate roadway impacts and develop regulations and policies related to the Marcellus shale industry.

He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and holds a general science degree from IUP. Originally from the Ephrata/Lititz area, he enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, camping, playing sports, and being involved with his church.

“Joining LDG is an excellent opportunity to advance my career with a well-known and reputable firm in my hometown.” Hursh said.

In his new role, Hursh will bolster a growing transportation engineering department supporting the southern central Pennsylvania region.

Larson Design Group provides innovative design solutions for the private and public sectors. With offices in Pennsylvania, New York, West Virginia, and Texas, LDG staff members have diverse knowledge in environmental systems, energy, surveying, site development, structures, transportation, inspection, and brand architecture.
