Keith Allen ’79, M’83 has been named senior vice president of human resources and chief human resources officer for Froedtert Health. In this role, Allen will be responsible for ensuring that human resource initiatives are closely aligned with Froedtert Health’s overall strategic objectives, working closely with leadership to define human capital requirements and programs, and to oversee critical functions, including recruitment, retention, assessment, succession, management development, compensation and rewards, work practices, quality initiatives, and change management.
Allen comes to Froedtert Health from the University of Maryland Medical System, where he served as vice president of human resources for seven years. He previously served in human resources leadership roles for Baltimore-based Lifebridge Health, Memorial Health System in Springfield, Illinois, and Pittsburgh-based Allegheny University Hospitals.
“With a deep background in multi-hospital academic and community medical environments, Keith brings a proven track record to Froedtert Health,” Dennis Pollard, Froedtert Health’s chief operating officer, said. “Specifically, his experience with championing the implementation of a comprehensive customer service program is well aligned with our commitment to performance excellence.”
Allen holds a master of arts degree in industrial and labor relations and a bachelor of arts degree in criminology and sociology, both from IUP. He is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.
