This event is over.

The talents of IUP's Theater and Music departments converge on the Fisher stage to produce an all-time popular operetta by the King of Waltz, Johann Strauss.

Die Fledermaus (The Bat) centers on a magnificent masked ball, given by a prince, that brings together all the main characters in various disguises. The three-act journey from boudoir to ballroom to jail provides ample opportunities for farce and humor, but also for genuine human emotion and a surprisingly realistic view of urban life.

Special guest artists will provide additional entertainment during the masquerade ball. This operetta will be sung in English.

Music by Johann Strauss II, directed by Oliver Lo, conducted by Michael Borowit, choreographed by Joan Van Dyke, Concertmaster Stanely Chepaitis; An IUP Music Theater and Theater-by-the Grove co-production
