We are recommending that conference attendees use the conference hotel, the Holiday Inn, for lodging. However, housing in university apartment-style residence hall rooms/suites is also available at a lesser rate.
There are some limitations if you prefer to stay on campus, but it is an available option should it work best for your budget. Be sure to read the following very carefully, so you understand these limitations and procedures.
- Cost: $60 per night per room
- Check In: There is a limited window for you to check in, so please be aware that if you do not check in during these times, you will be forced to forfeit your room and have to find lodging elsewhere. Check-in time on both Wednesday, June 5, and Thursday, June 6, is between 4:00 and 7:00 p.m. You will not be able to check in at any other time. Check-out time is between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7. Those checking out after 2:00 p.m. will be charged for an additional night.
- Room: Each room has a private bath, Internet access (with codes provided upon check-in), mini-refrigerator, and microwave. Rooms are air conditioned.
- Beds: All beds are single, twin-size beds with up to two beds per room.
- Linens: The fee includes a linen pack consisting of two flat sheets, one pillow case, one blanket, one bath towel, and one wash cloth.
- You Provide: You will need to provide your own pillows, blankets, and all toiletries.
- Parking and Transportation: Parking is available free on campus and is an easy walk to on-campus conference venues (slight hill). However, people staying on campus will be responsible to transport themselves to conference activities at the Holiday Inn and downtown Indiana for the opening receptions and dine-arounds. There will be shuttle buses provided at certain times, but we cannot guarantee a regular pick up at the residence hall.
- You will need to reserve a room through the Lively Arts office by e-mailing lively-arts@iup.edu no later then Wednesday, May 8, 2013. No reservations can be accepted after this date.
- Payment: Payment for on-campus lodging must be received no later than Wednesday, May 29. Payment needs to be by check, payable to IUP Lively Arts, and sent to IUP Lively Arts, 202 Performing Arts Center, Indiana, PA 15705.
- The Holiday Inn rate is $99 per night per room supplied with regular hotel amenities, free wi-fi, and indoor pool, lounge, and more. It will also be the site of our Thursday morning breakfast and meetings and informal late-night gatherings. Parking is free, and a shuttle service will be provided to other conference activities on a regular schedule. You can reserve a room at the Holiday Inn directly online.
