By Anton Chekhov; Directed by Richard Kemp

Chekhov's tragi-comedy masterpiece about misplaced hopes remains one of the most moving and universally relevant plays of all time.

An army general's three educated daughters yearn to escape their provincial garrison town, where their days are relieved only by a procession of officers, suitors, husbands, and lovers. The sisters cling to their hopes of a better life and their ever-present dream of returning to the big city. This play contains situations which may not be suitable for younger children.
