Wachob Publishes Study on Standing Desks and Student On-Task Behavior

David Wachob, associate professor in the Department of Kinesiology, Health, and Sport Science, recently published his study, titled “The Use of Standing Desks to Address On-Task Behavior in Elementary Students,” in the International Journal of Pedagogy and Curriculum.

Exercise Science Students Work with American College of Sports Medicine

Fifty students in the KHSS 285 Group Exercise Instructor and KHSS 286 Personal Training Practicum courses have been provided with a great opportunity to serve as test takers for the newly created PrepU program for the Group Exercise Instructor Certification through the American College of Sports Medicine.

Exercise Science Club Participates in Race to Anyplace Fundraiser for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

The Race to Anyplace took place at the Wintergarden at PPG Place in Pittsburgh on Saturday, February 22, 2020. The Exercise Science Majors Club has participated the last 15 years and has raised more than $16, 500 for the cause.

Kinesiology Students Support Leukemia and Lymphoma Society by Participating in 20th Race to Anyplace

The Department of Kinesiology, Health, and Sport Science has entered two teams in the Race to Anyplace to Out Pedal Cancer, taking place at the PPG Wintergarden in Pittsburgh on Saturday, February 22.  Please join us in supporting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society by making a donation to our fundraising campaign.
