In addition to the standard software provided in the
public computing labs, IUP provides an extensive library of academic software for home use. Below is a list of of available software.
Microsoft Office 365 is the latest office software suite from Microsoft. The software suite is now available to all enrolled students, staff, and faculty through the Microsoft campus agreement that IUP participates in.
Windows 10 Education is available through
iup.onthehub.com, which is a service that allows students to procure licensing at a discounted price for products such as Windows 10 Education edition and Parallels for Mac (not free).
EndNote is a full-featured research and writing tool that generates bibliographies in specified output styles, maintains references, assists with downloading references from electronic databases (e.g., Ovid, Proquest), and supports citing references while writing. This product can be installed on a PC or Mac.
NVivo is a qualitative data analysis software package designed for researchers working with very rich text-based and/or multimedia information, where deep levels of analysis on small or large volumes of data are required. NVivo removes many of the manual tasks associated with analysis, like classifying, sorting, and arranging information, so you have more time to explore trends, test theories, and arrive at answers to questions.
SPSS is a software package used to analyze data and perform complex calculations on data. SPSS software is heavily used in research projects to assist with breaking down data and providing reporting.

Adobe Creative Suite CC is a powerful set of software tools. The Creative Cloud can assist in areas such as web design, image editing, video editing, graphic and art design, desktop publishing, game development, animation, and much more. These applications are available to all IUP administration, staff, and faculty.
Respondus is a Windows-based authoring tool that allows you to create and manage quizzes and exams for D2L and Moodle. This download is for faculty and staff only.
StudyMate is a Windows-based authoring tool that allows you to create flash-based learning games. This download is for faculty and staff only.
