The IT Support Center recommends that you use some type of antivirus to protect your machine. There are two options for using or installing antivirus softwares—Windows Defender and Sophos.
Windows Defender is a built-in antivirus software offered on Windows 10 machines. If you have Windows 10, make sure Defender is turned on, as well as auto-updates.
Sophos Endpoint Security and Control is the virus protection software licensed by the university. It is available to all current faculty, staff, and students for personal use.
For personal use, use the appropriate link to download Sophos, and don’t forget to
keep Sophos updated.
Access to these downloads is restricted to IUP employees and students. You will be prompted for your username and password. Please use your network password.
Important! Enter your username as iupmsd\username (note the direction of the slash).
