- Group discussions
- GRE and GMAT preparation
What types of assignments can I get help with?
SkillZone tutors can support students with development in a variety of content areas, including English, science, math, business, and technology. Tutors can also help students who are preparing for the GRE, GMAT, TOEFL, or IELTS exams. SkillZone isn’t
just for homework, though. Students who want to practice English conversation, discuss cultural questions, or find out about campus and community resources can also get the support they need at SkillZone.
What is the SkillZone Group Room?
The SkillZone group room is a great place to practice your conversation skills, ask questions about life at IUP, and make new friends. On Thursday evenings from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the group room hosts Conversation Corner, where US and international students are invited to share their perspectives, ask questions, and engage in open format discussions.
Who are the SkillZone tutors?
The tutors at SkillZone are undergraduate and graduate students who come from a variety of cultural, language, and disciplinary backgrounds.
Where is it?
SkillZone is located in Eicher 206, down the hall from the IUP Writing Center. Eicher Hall is on Grant Street across from Wallwork Hall. You can use the IUP
interactive campus map to find us.
What does it cost?
SkillZone and its services are free of charge to IUP international students and scholars.
