With safety of our students in mind and the challenges we face due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Instructional Design Services is offering Online Learning 101 for Students - Spring 2021.

To support our students with the challenges they may face this year, IUP is pleased to offer a free, non-mandatory, noncredit course called Online Learning 101 for Students - Spring 2021 using D2L Brightspace and Moodle. Don't miss this opportunity to become familiar with D2L Brightspace and Moodle, and learn tips for being an excellent online learner. This course is completely online and is designed to simulate an actual IUP online course.

Online Learning 101 for Students - Spring 2021 is being offered from Monday, January 11, until Friday, January 15, 2021. During this five-day interactive online course, students participate in activities designed to familiarize them with the common tools used in online courses at IUP.

Online Learning 101 for Students - Spring 2021 will also assist students in planning for successful participation in distance education courses.

Specifically, at the end of this course students will be able to:

  • identify the skills necessary to be a successful online learner,
