When an Employee Leaves

  • Separations include employee voluntary separations, retirements, or university-driven separations.

    To ensure a smooth exit transition when an employee leaves or separates from employment at IUP, please download the Supervisor’s Responsibilities Checklist. This form is for your own reference and does not need submitted to any university office once completed.

    The employee will receive an e-mail asking for their responses to an online employee exit interview survey. Individual responses are treated as confidential. We ask supervisors to encourage separating employees to complete this survey as it will assist in analyzing employee retention and turnover.

    Supervisors will be contacted by the Office of Human Resources/Employment Team to discuss vacancy needs. Our Employment Services page has instructions for filling a vacancy or information regarding having another employee work out of class.
