Office Hours for Part-Time Faculty

  • APSCUF and Indiana University of Pennsylvania Management agree to the following procedures for establishing appropriate office hours for part-time teaching faculty members:

    • A Faculty Member with an assignment of less than 25% will determine the number of office hours each week.
    • A Faculty Member with an assignment of 25% to 49% will determine the number of office hours, with a minimum being 1.0 hour each week. 
    • A Faculty Member with an assignment of 50% to 75% will determine the number of office hours, with a minimum being 2.0 hours each week.
    • A Faculty Member with an assignment greater than 75% will determine the number of office hours, with a minimum being 3.0 hours each week.

    Office hours should be made in a manner that assures that the faculty member is available to consult with students enrolled in courses for which he or she provides instruction.
