This summer, Dr. Caleb Finegan will lead a group of students to Spain who will have the opportunity to experience an adventure which brings together the academic, artistic, spiritual, and physical realms of life by focusing on and participating in one of the most traditional and perennial activities of human beings—Pilgrimage.
This firsthand experience will last for six weeks, from mid-May to late June and involves students flying to Madrid, Spain, where they will spend seven days studying the history, art, architecture, and literature of Medieval Spain before embarking on a five-week journey across northern Spain. Their journey will take them along the famous Camino Francés, the oldest and most traditional pilgrimage route to the historic and sacred destination in the province in Galicia, the city of Santiago de Compostela.
