The College of Health and Human Services' 32nd annual awards recognition ceremony was held at the Rustic Lodge on May 4, 2022.

Anthony Perillo, Department of Psychology, received the 2021–22 Outstanding Academic Advisement Award.  The Academic Advisement Award is given to a faculty member based on the number of years the applicant has been advising, the average number of advisees, quality and impact of advising activities, advising philosophy/beliefs, explanation of applicant's advising reaching students in a deeper way, mentoring students, and incorporation of students' career preparation beyond IUP.

Melissa Swauger receiving the 2021–22 Outstanding Efforts at Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion AwardMelissa Swauger, Department of Sociology, received the newly created  2021–22 Outstanding Efforts at Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Award.

Nabiha Islam receiving the 2021–22 Outstanding Efforts at Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Graduate Student AwardNabiha Islam, a graduate student in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice, received the 2021–22 Outstanding Efforts at Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Graduate Student Award. This award is given to a graduate student that has demonstrated insightful papers or classroom presentations; research, including that presented at conferences; service efforts; and student organization leadership resulting in improving DEI on campus.

Charles Coleman receiving the 2021–22 Outstanding Efforts at Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Undergraduate Student AwardCharles Coleman, an undergraduate student in the Public Health program, received the 2021–22 Outstanding Efforts at Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Undergraduate Student Award. This award is given to a student that has demonstrated insightful papers or classroom presentations; research, including that presented at conferences; service efforts; and student organization leadership resulting in improving DEI on campus.

Bitna Kim receiving the 2021–22 Outstanding Researcher AwardBitna Kim, Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice, received the 2021–22 Outstanding Researcher Award. The Researcher award is given to a faculty member that has demonstrated significant research to their field/discipline, quality of research (acceptance rate, peer reviewed), originality of research, interdisciplinary nature of research, breadth, and mentoring future or less experienced researchers.

Joshua Castle receiving the 2021–22 Outstanding Service AwardJoshua Castle, Department of Kinesiology, Health, and Sport Science, received the 2021–22 Outstanding Service Award. The Outstanding Service Award is given to a faculty member that has demonstrated quality service in the areas of university, college, department, community, national, state, and professional and has leadership roles, among other honors or awards.

Tara Johnson receiving the 2021–22 Outstanding Teacher AwardTara Johnson, Department of Psychology, received the 2021–22 Outstanding Teacher Award. The Teacher Award is given to a faculty member that displays teaching strategies, other than lecture, used in the teaching of courses. The awardee will possess critical or synthetic thinking skills, mentor or support students outside the classroom, and shows excellence in teaching.
