About the Global Seal of Biliteracy

The Global Seal of Biliteracy is a language credential that can be awarded to anyone—student or adult, from any state or country—who has met the criteria on one of its qualifying tests. The Global Seal of Biliteracy organization was founded and sponsored by Avant Assessment. It has an independent board of advisors made up of K-12 and higher education faculty, as well as second language acquisition and assessment researchers from across the country who advise and guide the program’s mission.
