The WEDnetPA Job Training Program provides reimbursement to qualified companies for training employees in a wide range of essential and high-tech topics. IUP is a participating WEDnetPA partner.
WEDnetPA is designed to help employers with the training of their employees. The two types of eligible training grants are Essential Skills (formerly Basic Skills) training and Advanced Technology (formerly Information Technology) training.
Manufacturers and technology businesses are eligible for Essential Skills training grants up to $450 per eligible employee.
Manufacturers and others are eligible for Advanced Technology Skills training grants, including computer programming, network administration, and advanced machine operations training up to $850 per eligible employee.
Eligibility must be met on three levels: company (employer), employee, and training.
