BaFa' BaFa'
Welcome to first lunch and learn session of the Foreign Languages for Diversity and Inclusion Series (FOLDIS). We will begin with BaFa' BaFa', a face-to-face learning simulation intended to improve participants' cultural competency by helping participants understand the impact of culture on the behavior of people and organizations.
You will be challenged to become a meta thinker by focusing on language behavior and not on race, gender, or ethnicity. You will understand of the importance of being visible and inclusive of another culture by becoming “other.” Improve your cultural competency and understanding of other cultures by immersing and living in a total new one! Experience what it takes to focus on language and not on set values to understand diversity.
