Gloria Park was invited to facilitate a Reflective Workshop for 400 Fulbright foreign language teaching assistants who are on a one-year grant, teaching their native languages in US higher education institutions.
Park’s workshop, “Looking beyond, Taking Stock, and Moving Forward: Navigating our Language Teacher Identities,” is part of the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant 2023 Mid-year Conference, which will be held at the JW Marriott in Washington, DC November 17–19. This conference is sponsored by the Institute of International Education.
Park’s workshop is part of the three-day conference that will provide a plethora of opportunities for professional development, networking, and cultural exchange with Fulbrighters from over 50 countries. Park will focus on reflective practices to aid FLTAs in the second half of their grant and beyond.
