Panel on Faculty Diversity

  • Faculty Diversity

Panel on Faculty Diversity at Issues of Diversity 2014A panel of faculty and the assistant to the president for Social Equity to discuss faculty diversity at IUP. Hear how colleagues, departments, and the university are thinking about recruitment and retention of diverse faculty and the importance of these efforts to the university. Become informed about incentives, initiatives, and practices that could help your department attract historically underrepresented faculty to apply for tenure track positions, and programs that are in place to help retain that talent once they have been hired.  We hope this will be an open and frank conversation about the challenges and roadblocks that we have faced in our efforts to increase the diversity of IUP faculty and a session that will engage faculty in acknowledging the power we have to move the needle on this important measure.
