The IUP Army ROTC program offers
STEM Scholarships to eligible students interested in becoming officers in the
United States Army. As early as junior year of high school, students can compete
for four-year national-based scholarships, or students already in college can compete
for four-, three-, or two-year campus-based scholarships.
Each scholarship that is awarded
comes with a contract, which is a formal commitment to the Army to learn,
train, and commission as a 2nd Lieutenant. Army career placement is
competitive and can be in the active component, U.S. Army Reserves, or the Army
National Guard and can compete for a variety of different fields such as cyber
security, military intelligence, or Signal Corps.
The Scholarship Covers:
- 100 percent tuition and fees or Room and board up to $10,000 per year
- Book allowance of $1,200 per year
- Annual cadet stipend:
- Freshman, $3,000
- Sophomore, $3,500
- Junior,
$4,500
- Senior, $5,000
