Your fourth and final semester of the culinary arts curriculum (fall) is a paid externship in the industry.
Students who have chosen the Culinary Arts/Baking and Pastry Arts program begin the Baking and Pastry Arts first semester coursework at this time. See Baking and Pastry Arts Courses for details.
You will experience on-the-job training in your externship prior to graduation. Instruction and performance evaluation is done by the supervising chef at the externship site. Externship sites are located throughout the United States and in Europe.
Students who are pursuing the Culinary Arts/B.S. degree options will complete the externship semester and then continue their undergraduate coursework on the Indiana campus.
