Baking and Pastry AAS Courses

  • Here are the requirements for the 60-credit AAS in Baking and Pastry Arts:

    48 credits from the major in Baking and Pastry Arts

    • 39 credits from the completion of the Baking and Pastry Arts certificate program coursework and externship
    • 9 credits from the Baking and Pastry Arts certificate program will articulate toward the Liberal Studies requirement.

    12 credits in Liberal Studies

    Liberal studies is the common core curriculum required for all undergraduate students that includes subjects related to the humanities, arts, and sciences.

    *You must pass these courses in the Baking and Pastry Arts program with a C or better:

    1. Hospitality Mathematics (CMGT 1200) is equivalent to Liberal Studies, MATH 101

    2. Nutrition (CMGT 1301) is equivalent to Liberal Studies, Elective FDNT 145

    3. Introduction to computers (COMP 1000) and Computer Accounting Applications (COMP 2000) are equivalent to Liberal Studies, COSC 101

    Required Courses: Liberal Studies

    These courses follow a traditional college schedule. Classes are offered in Punxsutawney, Indiana, or online.
